Made in Georgia and built to grow — rack and pinion is about speed, not fine detail.
MillRight builds its machines in Georgia, and the Mega V 2 is a well-thought-out kit: profile rails, closed-loop motors, a self-squaring gantry and the option of an 8-tool ATC, which is almost unheard of at this level.
Rack and pinion is a speed-and-length choice — it scales to bigger beds cheaply — but it’s less precise than ball screws for fine detail. Options also add up quickly. If you want a US-made machine you can grow into production work, it’s worth a look.
