Will's take

Built like a tank, and a five-year warranty says Onefinity knows it.

The Gen 2 Elite Woodworker is a seriously over-built 33-inch machine. Closed-loop 2 Nm motors, a braking Z, full ball-screw covers, infrared homing with auto-squaring and power-loss recovery — and that five-year mechanical warranty is the longest I’ve seen in the hobby.

Two caveats. Round rails versus profile rails is a real debate if aluminum is your focus. And Onefinity has changed controller platforms more than once, which fragments the community knowledge. Budget for the spindle and the touchscreen. If wood is your main thing, though, this is a machine you won’t outgrow.

What I like

  • Closed-loop motors with braking Z
  • Five-year mechanical warranty
  • Covered ball screws and auto-squaring
  • Bigger Journeyman and Foreman sizes available

What I'd watch for

  • Spindle and HMI add real cost
  • Controller platform has changed more than once
  • Round rails, not profile rails

Still confirming with Onefinity: usable Z (165 mm is slider travel).
