Shapeoko 5 Pro 2×2
The full Shapeoko 5 Pro hardware squeezed into a 2×2 bed — and this size ships with a router.
All of the 5 Pro’s backbone in a size that fits a garage wall. You pay for the badge.
I like that Carbide made this. Plenty of people don’t need a four-foot bed — they need a stiff, precise machine that fits on a bench — and this is the exact same rail-and-ball-screw hardware as the big one. It also includes a router, which the bigger sizes don’t.
The problem is the neighborhood it lives in. There are now 2×2 machines with ball screws for well under half this price. What you’re buying here is the polish, the support and the software, not the steel. For a lot of people that’s worth it; just know that’s the trade.

What I like
- Same rails and ball screws as the 4×2 / 4×4
- Router included in the base price
- Fits a normal garage bench
What I'd watch for
- Expensive per square foot
- New size, so few long-term owner reports
- Router wattage isn’t published on the product page
