Will's take
The best desk-friendly CNC for most people. It just works.
If you want a CNC in a spare room and you’re not sure you’re a “CNC person” yet, this is the one I’d hand you. It’s enclosed, the probing and leveling are automatic, the software is genuinely beginner-friendly, and at sale price it costs less than many open-frame machines once you’ve added a router.
You give up the automatic tool changer (it’s a quick manual swap), the X/Y run on rods rather than rails, and you’ll want a small dust collector. For PCBs, jewelry, small signs and light aluminum, though, it’s hard to beat.
